Opportunities | Match Day Makers
The club is excited to announce the launch of our Match Day Makers scheme for the 22/23 campaign, which will play an integral role in elevating the match-day experience at Home Park.
Inspired by schemes like the Games Maker project at London 2012, the match-day operations and supporter relations team at Argyle are on the lookout for enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate Argyle fans to provide proactive assistance to supporters on match-days at Home Park.
The Match Day Makers will be on hand before, during and after home matches to assist with any queries supporters may have. Based at a variety of information points around Home Park, they will provide match day information, help with wayfinding and directions around the stadium, interact and engage with our supporters (particularly families) and ultimately provide a warm welcome and excellent customer service to all visitors.
For many of our supporters, our Match Day Makers will be the first representative of the club they meet and interact with when visiting Home Park, so the service the team delivers is crucial to making that all important positive first impression and sets the tone for their match day. Therefore, we’re looking for individuals with loads of energy and enthusiasm, who have fantastic people and communication skills and who are passionate about all things Plymouth Argyle, to act as our ambassadors and represent what will be a key front-line team with a vital role in delivering the very best match day experiences possible for our supporters.
In return for their service and hard work, participants will receive a range of benefits from the club, including club branded uniform and invitations to club events.
In addition to the recruitment of Match Day Makers at Home Park, the club is also recruiting a Volunteer Supervisor & Safeguarding Advisor to co-ordinate our team of volunteers and provide safeguarding assistance to the club's designated safeguarding officer.
As a key front-line team member who will be the first club representatives many of our supporters will meet and interact with on a match day, the level of service they provide must be exemplary. It is crucial, therefore, that those appointed to this post are able to lead, motivate and inspire a team to deliver this excellence, to enhance the match day experience for our supporters and to represent the club in the best way possible at all times.
The club is now taking applications for both Match Day Makers and the Volunteer Supervisor role through Indeed, and the links are available below. For an informal discussion about either position, or for more information, please email supporters@pafc.co.uk.
