Job Description
The Assistant Hospitality & Events Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of all hospitality and event operations at the stadium. Working across football matchdays, private functions, corporate events, and large-scale public events, the role is focused on delivering outstanding service and seamless experiences to guests, clients, and partners. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and have a strong understanding of premium hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the end-to-end planning and delivery of matchday hospitality and non-matchday events, including conferences, dinners, exhibitions, and concerts.
• Work closely with the Hospitality & Events Manager to ensure all operations run efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure all event requirements are clearly communicated and met.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to brand standards.
• Support in managing front-of-house teams and temporary event staff, ensuring appropriate training and appearance.
• Provide on-the-day event support, resolving issues in real time and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate event documentation including schedules, briefs, and post-event reports.
• Help monitor and manage hospitality stock, equipment, and venue presentation.
• Assist with budget tracking, supplier invoices, and cost control initiatives.
• Support promotional and sales activities when required to grow event bookings.
Requirements
Essential:
• Experience in event coordination or hospitality management, ideally in a stadium, hotel, or events venue.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to work on the ground during events.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Desirable:
• Experience with stadium or large venue operations.
• Hospitality or event management qualification.
• First aid or health & safety training certification.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and during major events. This is a physically active role requiring time on your feet during events and the occasional lifting of equipment or materials.
