Joe is a prolific centre forward who has been playing for Argyle’s academy since under-12s. Hatch has represented Wales at under-16 and 17s level, competing in the Under-17 European Championship in 2023 alongside fellow Pilgrim Freddie Issaka. This season, Hatch has been involved with the Argyle first team, making his debut appearance in the Sky Bet Championship against Burnley at Turf Moor. 

In June 2025, Hatch signed his first senior contract with Argyle, moving to the first-team.
