Owen Dale arrived at Argyle on a season-long loan from Oxford United, in September 2025 - with plenty of EFL experience behind him.

He started his career at Crewe Alexandra, before moving to Blackpool and then the Kassam Stadium.

During his time at Crewe, he had loan spells with Witton Albion, Altrincham and then the Tangerines before making that move permanent. He also spent a season on loan at Portsmouth while in the North West and joined Oxford in February 2024.

He made 15 appearances for the U’s in Sky Bet League One at the end of that season and 11 in the Championship the following year. He then joined Wigan on loan in February 2025 and made 17 appearances for the Latics.
